17-year-old girl goes to Kaiser doctor with severe back pain. Doctor tells her she’s simply too fat and refuses to provide CT, refers girl to nutritionist. Three months later, girl’s leg, half her pelvis, and part of her spine are amputated because back pain was actually due to fast-growing tumor. Kaiser exec says doctor acted appropriately.

“But fatphobia isn’t real we’re just concerned for your health!”

She was 17 years old, 5’-4" and 125 lbs. The doctor considered that “fat”. Fucking hell?
